Minister of Agriculture of the Southern Province, U.G.D. Ariyathilake stated that the heads of expenditure of the Ministry of Agriculture of Southern Province which was defeated on the 10th of this month, will be taken up for debate once again on the 27th.

He furthermore stated that his decision of resigning from his ministerial position was changed upon requests made by the president and the chief minister of southern province.

However, Southern Provincial Councilor, D.V. Upul stated that many councillors including him, will vote against the heads of expenditure of the Ministry of Agriculture in another vote taking as well.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Western Province, Isura Devapriya stated that the Development Special Provisions draft bill will be taken up for debate on the 29th of this month.

He stated that the shortcomings of the draft bill were brought to the attention of the prime minister yesterday.

The draft bill was previously defeated at the Uva Provincial Council as well.
