SL delegation leaves to India today for discussion about fishermen issues

A delegation of representatives will visit India today in order to participate in official discussions regarding the Indo- Sri Lanka fishermen issue.

The first round of discussions were held in New Delhi last November, where a delegation including the minister of fisheries Mahinda Amaraweera and the minister of External affairs Mangala Samaraweera were present.

The ministry of fisheries noted that the secretary of the ministry and the director general of the department of fisheries will be participating in this discussion.

Further discussions to resolve the fishermen issue have been scheduled for the 2nd of January here in Sri Lanka, where the Indian minister of external affairs Sushma Swaraj and the Indian minister of fisheries Radha Mohan will participate.
