A police investigation has commenced into the incident where three Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) officials were detained by Indian Oil Company (IOC) personnel in Trincomalee.

The four officials were sent to inspect oil tanks in Trincomalee oil tank farm on Wednesday (28).

Officials of the CPC said their officials were detained for over half an hour. They were released later.
