Provincial Council MPs representing the Joint Opposition are to dash coconuts seeking divine intervention in three areas over the new constitution and the imposing of taxes on the public.

Western provincial council MP Jagath Kumara stated that the rituals are to take place in the Hikkaduwa- Seenigama Devalaya, Chilaw- Munneshwaram Kovil and Navagamuwa- Paththini Devalaya.
