Former TNA MP Suresh Premachandran has stated that the leader of the TNA, Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan should leave the constitutional assembly.

Participating at a media briefing held in Jaffna the former MP said that the Government had issued statements to the effect that the North and East would not be joined and that Buddhism alone would be acknowledged as the State religion.

The Former MP also said that representatives from the TNA participating in the constitution assembly should initiate discussions with regard to this with the Government.
