Chairman of the lottery sales agents association Krishantha Marambage said that protests have been organized in many areas including Panadura, Galle and Matara today.

The agitation was launched yesterday against the increase of lottery ticket prices from 20 rupees to 30 rupees.

The Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake said yesterday that new sales agents will be assigned if the current sales agents are not prepared to implement the government’s decisions.
