The public says that the price of kerosene oil still remains at 49 rupees per litre although it was supposed to be reduced by 5 rupees from the 1st of January as per this year’s budget.

With the price of Kerosene oil reduced, the new price should be 44 rupees per litre.

When we inquired in this regard from the subject minister Chandima Weerakkodi, he stated that he is not aware on the failure to execute the price reduction.

Thanking our news team for bringing this matter to his attention, Minister Weerakkodi further stated that he will issue directives to the respective authorities to reduce the price of kerosene oil soon.
