Man who sheltered Gandhi’s assassinators dies

The man who was convicted for sheltering assassinators of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi has died in Bangalore yesterday. The convict, Jayaram Ranganath alias Master Ranganath, was 60.

Gandhi was killed in May 1991.

After being imprisoned for nine and a half years in Tamil Nadu, Ranganath and 18 other suspects were released in 1999.
