New Regulations for three wheelers and taxis

Transport and Civil Aviation Ministry has gazetted a series of new regulations for three wheel drivers.

Accordingly, all passenger three wheelers should be installed with taxi meters and, a receipt should be issued to the customer at the end of the journey.

At the same time, each passenger three wheeler should display clearly its registration number, driver’s name, his license number, his photograph and the telephone number of the police station with which the three wheeler is registered.

Simultaneously, drivers should not smoke while passengers are in and taking longer routes without the consent of the passenger is prohibited.

The new gazette further states that it is the duty of all three wheel drivers to hand over any material left by passengers to the nearest police station.
