5.7 million robbed from a state bank in Monaragala

Around 5.7 million rupees have been stolen from a government bank in Medagama – Monaragala by breaking open its Automated Teller Machine.

Police stated that the robbery has taken place last Friday night.

Speaking to our news team, the bank management stated that more than 9 million rupees was deposited in the ATM machine when the bank was closing on Friday.
