Uniform and identity card made mandatory for long service bus employees with effect from February 1st

The National Transport Commission stated that uniforms and the identity cards will be mandatory for long service bus workers, with effect from February 1st.

Commission Chairman M.A.P. Hemachandra said this decision was taken to enforce discipline. 

He said that an increasing number of complaints relating to long service bus workers have been received by the Commission.

Hemachandra further said that legal action will be taken against those who do not follow the regulations in place.
