Disaster Management Centre warns people to refrain from bathing in the Badulla Oya

Due to the heavy rains across the Badulla District, the water level has increased in the Badulu Oya.

Therefore, the District Disaster Management Centre has warned the people to refrain from bathing in the Badulu Oya.

The public has been also notified to stay away from bathing at the foot of waterfalls.

Meanwhile, there is a danger of experiencing earth slips and trees falling down on to the roads at Ella, Wellawaya and Welimada areas.

The motorists taking these routes have been cautioned to pay extra attention while driving by the Badulla District Disaster Management Centre.
