All parties agree to obtain attorney Generals recommendations on Bond scam

The Parliament agreed today with Speaker Karu Jayasuriya to forward the COPE report on the Central Bank Bond scam to the Attorney General.

Speaker Jayasuriya said that he feels it is right to forward similar reports presented in parliament by various Select Committees to the Attorney General for further action.

Later, Leader of the house minister Lakshman Kiriella, MPs Bimal Rathnayake, Wasudeva Nanayakkara, Sunil Handunnetti and Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera expressed their views.

Meanwhile, views were exchanged in parliament after MP Bimal Rathnayake tabled a copy of the investigations carried out by the Auditor General on all bond issues that took place between 2008 to 2015.
