Lawyers appearing on behalf of NFF leader MP Wimal Weerawansa filed a revised bail application with the Colombo High Court today.

High Court Judge Manilal Vydyasekera stated that the bail application will be considered on February 6th.

MP Weerawansa has been remanded until February 7th, on allegations of maliciously exploiting government funds, breach of confidence, committing fraud, and, aiding and abetting fraud.

Meanwhile, lawyers appearing on behalf of MP Namal Rajapaksa informed the Supreme Court today that their client will appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations on Bribery or Corruption on February 15th.

The Bribery Commission has filed a petition with the Supreme Court against MP Namal Rajapaksa on contempt of Court.

The petitioner stated that MP Namal Rajapaksa disregarded several summons issued on him and did not report to Commission.

The Case will be taken for hearing again on February 21st.
