Vice Chairman of Manpower Workers Union M.S. Mangala who turned up to police after being abandoned by his alleged kidnappers was produced before Judicial Medical Officer of Kalubowila hospital today.

M.S. Mangala who disappeared during a Sathyagraha in Colombo Fort reported to Ingiriya police early this morning.

He told police that an unknown group kidnapped him on Kottawa, Piliyandala road while he was returning home after participating in the Sathyagraha last Saturday.

Mangala has said that three masked men stopped him on the way and abducted him in a black van.

He said he was held in a lonely room for three days and insisted him only to withdraw from union activities.

Meanwhile, the motor bicycle belonging to Mangala, his wallet and two mobile phones were found from Rathmaldeniya in Pannipitiya.
