- Breakfast in a boy’s school in Colombo 7. Only chilli paste and Chopsuey. This is not a croton leaves rice. Here’s a fried rice. This is what is served as breakfast at Colombo University. Only used coconut. University students are always on the road because their brains won’t grow by eating these. Campus students are trying to topple the government. The Sports Academy is next door. See their breakfast. How will these children play after eating these food? Here’s the spices that are included in the food packets sold at Rs. 50 by university restaurants and state departments. These chili pieces are having more colour and these ones are with less colour. They use 500 grams of these to prepare 1 kilo of Dhal. This is the cup of tea made in state institutions. See what happens when you put the tea leaves into water. The water becomes totally black. They send high quality tea to the suddas while we drink what should be thrown to the dustbin.

- 1 Kilo of rice is Rs. 103. Coconut is sold at Rs. 70. Spices sold at between Rs. 350 – 600. How can you sell a lunch packet with a piece of fish and three types of vegetables for Rs. 50 at this rate? The state authorities don’t know how impossible it is to sell a quality packet of food at Rs. 50 with these high prices of essential food items. The school child, state worker and campus student need to be saved from this food tragedy. PHI officers, do not try to fine saying that restaurants are selling bad food tomorrow. Instead introduce a quality meal to sell. If this cannot be achieved with the food items sold in the market please provide relief to restaurant owners to prepare and sell quality food.
