The Sri Lanka Administrative Service says that action will be taken against Deputy minister Ranjan Ramanayakes actions following the investigation conducted by the bribery commission.

The Chairman of the association Ranjith Ariyaratne convening a media briefing stated this informing the decision taken with regard to the deputy minister reprimanded the Diwulapitiya divisional secretary.

He added that the allegations leveled by Deputy minister Ranjan Ramanayake regarding the Diwulapitiya Divisional secretary exceeding her stipulated tenure was false.

The deputy minister had reprimanded the divisional secretary of Divulapitiya over the phone when he had gone to look into the cutting of earth in Gampaha- Diwulapitiya- Duunagaha area on the 26th of January.

The chairman of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service Ranjith Ariyaratne noted that the president too expressed his disappointment regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, the national freedom front and the Samurdhi development officers association criticized the action taken by deputy minister Ranjan Ramanayake at the media briefing held today.
