Wanathe Roshana murder suspects remanded till the 23rd

The three suspects who had been charged in connection with narcotic trafficking, have surrendered themselves to court via a lawyer over the murder of Chamara Sandaruwan aka Wanathe Roshana.

Borella police said that the suspects had surrendered at Hultsdorp Magistrate Court 2 last night.

Subsequently they have been remanded till 23rd this month.

A spokesman from Borella police, said that the same suspects had previous homicide charges made against them too.

30-year-old Chamara Sandaruwan was stabbed to death near M.H. Mohamed Stadium in Wanathamulla in Borella on the 5th of this month.

Police reported that the victim had entered the stadium to play football when two persons had approached the victim from behind, and assaulted him with a sword, stabbing him to death.
