Health Authorities have said that measures have been taken to control the H1N1 influenza that spread in Bibile area recently.

Health Services Director General Dr. Jayasundara Bandara said that medicines required to control the infection have been supplied immediately.

About 30 patients including pregnant women were reported with this epidemic from the area and they had been admitted to Bibile main hospital. They are reported to be in good health by now.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jayasundara Bandara appealed to all those devotees who will be going to Mecca on pilgrimage to get vaccinated for protection from a brain fever that is currently spreading in that country.
