Joint Opposition MP Udaya Gammanpila said that the 8th complaint under the “TOP TEN” corruption allegation move against the government will be filed with the Commission to Investigate Allegations on Bribery and Corruption, today.

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, Gammanpila said the petition will be filed against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.

He further said the petition charges that Sri Lanka Customs has lost 25,000 million rupees due to a proposal compiled by minister Karunanayake in the Budget 2017

The Joint Opposition has filed another petition under the “TOP TEN” move against the finance minister in the past.

Other petitions have been filed under the TOP TEN included those against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, Ministers Thalatha Athukorala, Malik Samarawickrama, Kabeer Hashim and P Harrison.

Meanwhile MP Namal Rajapaksa reported to the Bribery Commission this morning.
