K Palaniswami was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu by Governor Vidyasagar Rao.

Palaniswami took oath first, followed by 30 ministers in four batches.

This is the third ministry in the last 10 months since AIADMK won the assembly election in May 2016.

Almost simultaneously, police protection given to O Panneerselvam at his official residence was withdrawn.

Palaniswami has kept the portfolios of public, police, home, finance, highways and minor ports and personnel and administrative reforms.
