The Government Printer states that it will take another week to complete the process of gazetting the Delimitation Appeal Committee report.
Government Printer Gangani Liyanage stated even if the report is received by this afternoon, it will take another week to complete the proofreading.
She went on to say that the exact date of publishing the relevant gazette could be announced only after receiving the report this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Ministry of Provincial Council and Local Government Kamal Pathmasiri said that necessary measures are being taken to ensure that the report of the Delimitation Appeal Committee is being completed.
He further said, once the minister confirmed the report with his signature, it will be separated according to provinces before being sent to the Government Printer.
At the same time, Ministry Secretary Kamal Pathmasiri also said that the process of printing and publishing the relevant gazette will take approximately one to two weeks.
However, subject minister Faizer Mustapha announced at a media conference held in Colombo yesterday that the report of the Delimitation Appeal Committee would be gazetted today.
