The NNF‘s request to withdraw from the UPFA and remain independent in parliament led to heated arguments in the house today.

NFF leader MP Wimal Weerawansa enquired from the speaker of his stance regarding the request made by his party last April.

In the Following audio excerpt we hear the views expressed by MP Wimal Weerawansa, Leader of the House Minister Lakshman Kiriella, MP Dinesh Gunawardana, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera, MP Nalin Bandara and Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.

Meanwhile, political party leaders and speaker Karu Jayasuriya will meet this afternoon to further discuss the request made by the NFF.
