The resignation letter of the NFF to withdraw its membership from the UPFA to remain independent in parliament has been handed over to the alliance General Secretary minister Mahinda Amaraweera.

NFF media spokesman Mohamed Musammil told our news team that his party leader MP Wimal Weerawansa handed over the letter to the UPFA General Secretary.

Meanwhile, the decision of the speaker over the NFF leader MP Wimal Weerawansa’s plea to remain independent in parliament will be announced on March 7.  

This decision was taken during the political party leaders’ meeting held today.
