A worker attached to a dhal processing factory at Pattiwila in Kelaniya was buried alive when a stockpile of dhal collapsed on him this afternoon.

Police said another 4 workers who were rescued in the accident have been admitted to the Kiribathgoda hospital.

Police also said that another worker died under similar circumstances at the same dhal processing factory on March 11th, 2015.

Imported dhal is peeled and processed for re-export at this factory at Pattivila in Kelaniya.
