Police have recovered Kerala grass with a face value of 20 million rupees from West Pesalai.

Acting on a tip off, police recovered several parcels lying in a paddy field.

Police retrieved 231 kilograms of Kerala grass. No suspects have been arrested.

Chavakachcheri police are investigating the incident.

At the same time, a suspect along with 9 kilograms and 515 grams Kerala grass was arrested by police at a road block at Kanniya Kiripatti Junction in Uppuweli.

The 30-year old suspect will be produced before Courts today.

Another suspect, with 1 kilogram and 3 grams of heroin in his possession was arrested yesterday.

The suspect will also be produced before Courts today.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a suspect was arrested with one kilogram of hash on 1st Rohini Lane in Pettah yesterday.

Police also arrested two women who attempted to enter the Colombo High Court premises at Hulftsdorp with narcotic and two mobile phones.

Another woman who attempted to take 10 grams of Cannabis to the Court was arrested by police yesterday as well.

A woman who tried to take cannabis into the Court premise was arrested on last Wednesday as well.
