Relatives of a 5 month pregnant woman who died due to dengue after admitting to Kalubowila hospital held a protest in front of the hospital today.

Relatives of the deceased accuse the Hospital authorities for not treating the patient properly.

Dilki Dilshani Nandasena was admitted to the Kalubowila hospital on the 28th of February.

Following a blood test doctors have confirmed that she has contracted dengue.

However, her husband charges that the hospital did not treat her for dengue.

He further stated that although the victim pleaded for immediate medical treatment certain doctors and nurses did not even pay any attention.

Her husband request to conduct an unbiased investigation from the hospital authorities.

Our news team queried about this incident from the Director of the Kalubowila hospital Dr. Asela Gunarathna.

He stated that according to the request made by the victims husband all the information will be sent to the Health Ministry to conduct an investigation.
