Medical Students Activists Committee files petition against attacks on protest march

Medical Students Activists Committee filed a petition with the Human Rights Commission today citing that police launched attacks on their protest march last Monday.

Meanwhile, IUSF convener Lahiru Weerasekera stated during a media conference held in Colombo today that the government is seeking alternatives to offer degrees to SAITM students.

Meanwhile, GMOA has decided to appoint a 10 member committee to prepare a guideline for the minimum standards of medical education under the auspices of the SLMC.

GMOA, in a communiqué stated that the recommendations by the committee will be submitted to the SLMC within two weeks.
