The Colombo High Court issued summons against President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, requesting that they appear in Courts on July 17th.

The summons were issued when the Case against former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake was taken before High Court Judge Wikum Kaluarachchi today.

Former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake has been accused of three counts of charges including preparing forged documents.

The President and Prime Minister have been named as first and second witnesses of this Case.

They had been summoned before Courts today but their lawyers informed Courts that their clients were not able to appear due to their schedules.

Another witness for the Case, UNP General Secretary Kabeer Hashim was present before Courts this morning.
