Temperature during the afternoon in Mannar has decreased by two degrees Celsius than normal, while Jaffna reported two degrees Celsius more, the Department of Meteorology states.

The highest rainfall during the past 24 hours was reported in Middeniya area, Hambanthota with 143mm.

The minimum temperature was recorded in Nuwara Eliya with 11.6°C and highest in Puttalam with 33.8°C.
