Former SLMC chairman and former deputy minister Bazeer Segu Davud gave a statement to the Colombo Crime Division this afternoon.

He was questioned following a complaint made against him by Eastern Provincial Chief Minister Nazeer Ahamed.

Chief Minister Ahamed accused that Segu Davud published and distributed a book titled “Darussalam Sangavuna Sathya” defaming the party.

However, former SLMC chairman Davud told our news team later that he has no connection to the printing and publishing of the controversial book.

The Supreme Council of SLMC suspended Segu Davud from party membership recently for allegedly violating party discipline.
