Two school students committed suicide after failing GCE Ordinary Level Mathematics.

Police said Chalani Lakshani from Homagama committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree by her house.

Meanwhile, the male student committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at Kanuwana Ja-Ela.

The victim was a resident of Usgala Road in Anuradhapura.

The victim had left home citing that he was going to visit a relative in Ja-Ela.

It was his second attempt at sitting the exam.
