Several medical tests have been done today on MP Wimal Weerawansa who was engaged in a fast, after he was transferred to national hospital from the prison hospital.

Deputy Director of Colombo National Hospital Dr. Cyril de Silva said treatment will be prescribed after his blood and urine test reports are released.

He also said the hospital authorities were compelled to do the tests externally as Paramedics are currently on strike.

Dr. de Silva stated the condition of MP Weerawansa is not critical however he has been put on saline until treatments are prescribed.

MP Wimal Weerawansa is under treatment at Ward No.45 of the Colombo National Hospital and, his fasting which started with the demand for bail, will complete 8 days today.

Meanwhile, JVP leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated in a media conference held in Colombo today that former president Mahinda Rajapaksa has not loved MP Wimal Weerawansa as much as the latter loved his master.
