18 students and a teacher of Sirimal Watta Primary School at Wattegama in Kandy were injured after a part of the roof of an old building collapsed this morning.
Police said 13 students and the teacher were admitted to Kandy General Hospital following the accident.
Hospital deputy director Dr. Nissanka Wijewardana stated that 12 students are still receiving treatment at hospital.
The roof has collapsed while these Year-5 students were sitting the term test.
