Time becomes a constraint to the parliamentary schedules

Today, the Parliament was to be held in line with a committee adjournment debate regarding the incident at Geneva Human Rights Council.

However, a heated atmosphere was created in the Parliament with the JVP and Joint Opposition stating that the time is not enough to carry on with the proceedings.

Later, the governing Party agreed to allocate extra 30 minutes for the proceedings.

Getting back to the debate, MPs Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Dinesh Gunawardane voiced that the allocated extra minutes is also not enough.
