The Met Department states that Due to the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka the prevailing showery conditions are expected to enhance over next few days.

Showers or thundershowers will occur throughout the island after 2.00pm.

Heavy rainfall approximately 100 mili meters can be expected in the Western, North-western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-central provinces.

There may be localized strong winds during thundershowers.
