Protest waged in Kahatagasdigiliya - Galenbindunuwewa road (photos)

Villagers in Kahatagasdigiliya waged a protest in Kahatagasdigiliya-Galenbindunuwewa road today.

The intention of the protest had been demanding the authorities to take necessary steps to prevent wild elephant attacks in the area.

According to Hiru correspondent, numerous villagers in the area had taken part in the protest.

However, with the intervention of the Officer in Charge of Kahatagasdigiliya police, the protestors have agreed to dispatch after they were assured by the police that their problem would be solved.
