Less number of accidents experienced during this New Year - colombo national hospital (video)

185 patients have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital in line with accidents during the 24 hours period which ended by 12mid night yesterday.

However, Director of the Colombo National Hospital Doctor Anil Jasinghe stated that the number of accident have been decreased by 16% when compared with the last year.

48 patients have been hospitalized in line with vehicle accidents while only one individual has been admitted in line with fire cracker accidents.

Meanwhile, National Coordinator and Triage Team Leader in the Accident and Orthopedic Service of the National Hospital, Pushpa Ramyani De Soyza advises the people to be careful of the accidents occur during this season.

Moreover, she requests to direct special attention on accidents which may be caused by fire crackers.
