Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in a message to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has conveyed his condolences over Meethotamulla tragedy.

Japanese Prime Minister has also said that they were willing to assist Sri Lanka during these times.

In the aftermath of this disaster, Prime Minister Abe has kindly offered Japan’s assistance to recovery efforts.

A technical team from Japan is likely to visit Sri Lanka at the earliest to take stock of the situation and assist in remedial measures.
