Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to return to the island, cutting his visit to Vietnam short, due to the Meethotamulla garbage dump collapse.

The premier will return tomorrow.

He left to Vietnam on a four-day tour to hold bilateral talks with the President and his counterpart in the country to strengthen ties between the two nations.
