Pilleyan further remanded until the 28th

Former Chief Minister of the Eastern Province, Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pilleyan was further remanded until the 28th when he was produced before the Batticaloa district acting magistrate, H.I.M.Riswi today.

He was remanded for the 36th time today.

Former chief minister of the eastern province is accused of being involved in the murder of parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingam inside a church in Batticaloa on the 25th of December 2005.
