Parents charge that doctors at Matara General Hospital have administered an incorrect injection to their 4-year-old child.

The child had been hospitalized on Aprli 9th having been diagnosed with flu.

The parents say that the child had suffered an allergic reaction to the injection and was admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.

They quoted doctors from Karapitiya Teaching Hospital as saying the girl was given the wrong jab for flu.

The parents of the child have complained to Matara Police.

Meanwhile, Director of Matara General Hospital Dr. Malkanthi Mediwaka told our news team that doctors at the hospital have not made mistakes as the parents of the child have charged.

A child from Hiththatiya, Matara, died early this month after the child was injected with an incorrect jab.
