President calls for special discussion on Meethotamulla disaster

President Maithripala Sirisena will hold a special meeting to assess the damages caused at the Meethotamulla garbage dump disaster and discuss the relief measures provided to affected persons.

It is reported that officials of the Disaster Management Minister will join several other state officials for the discussion scheduled to be held this morning.

They will also discuss all proposals submitted with regard to the building of houses for affected parties in detail.
