Containers smuggled into the country with 120 million rupees worth of consumer goods, seized at Orugodawaththa

Customs officials seized two suspicious looking containers today at Orugodawatta Customs Yard.

Customs Media Spokesman Dharmasena Kahandawa said they discovered that the two containers had a large quantity of consumer goods.

A private company located in Wattala was responsible for attempting to illegally bring in   two containers of commodities that had a face value of 120 million rupees.
