Farmers in Dimbulagala waged a protest in the morning demanding water for their paddy cultivations.

According to our correspondent, Polonnaruwa-Batticoloa road had been blocked during the protest.

Dimbulagala farmers waged the protest as Mahaweli Authority took initiatives to provide the farmers with insufficient volumes of water due to the low volume of water prevailed in Maduru-oya reservoir.
