A youth in Baddegama area in Galle has gone missing after he flew to Korea as a worker.

It has been reported that this 25 year-old individual has travelled to Korea as a worker in 2014 after getting through the exam held to measure proficiency in Korean language.

He has been ringing his home until a week back and it has been stopped afterwards, his relations say.

The last call has been received from him on the 14th of April this year.

According to his relatives, currently his phone has been switched off and they have made a complaint to the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.

Accordingly, speaking to Hiru news team, Minister of Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, Thalatha Athukorala stated that they have commenced investigations regarding the youth disappearance.
