One suspect has been arrested over the incident of 26 year-old Sri Lankan youth who went missing in Korea by the Korean government to conduct interrogations regarding the missing person, according to his uncle, Jayantha Illeperuma.

The suspect named Charith Thivanka Jayasekara is a relative of the missing youth.

The missing youth is a resident in Baddegama in Galle named Shashen Tharaka.

Shashen’s family complained recently that their son has gone missing since April 16.

According to his uncle, it is doubtful whether he went missing due to a family row occurred between him and his relative in Korea.

He has travelled to Korea as a worker three years back.

Moreover, Shashen’s uncle further requests from the Foreign Employment Bureau to look into this unfortunate incident and help find the youth soon.
