Three SLFP electorate organizers, Janaka Bandara Tennakoon of Dambulla, Anura Vidanagamage of Mahiyanganaya and Lohan Rathwatte of Patha Dumbara have been removed from their positions.

W.M. Yasamana and U.R. Daya Nandasiri have been appointed as joint electoral organizers for Dambulla instead while former Patha Dumbara Pradeshiya Saba chairman Samarajeva Bandara Welagedara and K.G.

Gunawardana have been appointed as electorate organizers for Patha Dumbara and Mahiyanganaya respectively.

At the same time, 13 new district organizers received their letters of appointment from the President today.

Central Provincial Councilor Nissanka Herath, former deputy mayor of Kandy Asanka Dodamwala, former Pradeshiya Sabha chairman of Kundasale Asela Ekanayake and Central Provincial Councilor Linton Wijesinghe have been appointed as new organizers for Kandy district.

Former deputy mayor of Dambulla Kusumsiri Ariyarathna and former Naula Pradeshiya Sabha member Susil Premarathna have been appointed as new organizers for Matale district.

In addition, Sabaragamuwa Provincial councilor Salitha Karunarathna, Shantha Rathnayake and Nixon Suriyakumar have been appointed as new SLFP organizers for the Ratnapura district.

At the same time, S. Agildas, B.Gopala Krishnan and Kandasamy karunakaran received their letters of appointment as new district organizers for Jaffna district.

Meanwhile, N Arunathilagan has been appointed as the district organizer for Mulativu district.

Meanwhile, son of MP Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, Pramitha Bandara has resigned from his ministry post of the Central Provincial council.  

Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon told our news team that his resignation was handed over to Central Provincial governor Niluka Ekanayake this afternoon.
