Minister of Megapolice and Western Development, Patali Champika Ranawaka voiced today regarding two garbage dumps in Kandy which are in the risk of being collapsed.

He made this remark at a media briefing held in order to make journalist aware of the steps and actions taken by the Ministry regarding Meethotamulla garbage disaster.

Speaking further at the event, minister Ranawaka stated that the government will be taking a concrete decision regarding the land in which the garbage dump exists in Meethotamulla, within the next 5 months.
