Rohana resigns from Matale - SLFP says no political revenge

Former deputy minister Rohana Kumara Dissanayake said that he would resign from his SLFP Matale electorate organizing post today.

Addressing a media briefing held at his residence, he said that he’s resigning from the post in protest of removing Janaka Bandara Tennakoon from Dambulla electorate organizing post.

Meanwhile, SLFP general secretary, Minister Duminda Dissanayake says that several electoral organizers were removed from their positions, not with the intention of taking revenge.

He made this statement at a press briefing held at the party headquarters, while answering questions raised by journalists.
